Soccer Game Preview: Lakeside vs. Druid Hills

The Lakeside Vikings will face off against the Druid Hills Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Lakeside who was credited with the win on Tuesday. The Vikings got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Chattahoochee's three.

On Tuesday, Druid Hills needed a bit of extra time to put away Tucker. They had just enough and edged out the Tigers 4-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Druid Hills' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

The victory got Lakeside back to even at 7-7. As for Druid Hills, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Lakeside beat Druid Hills 2-0 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
