Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Greencastle-Antrim walked away with it. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Elizabethtown Bears on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Blue Devils, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Ryder Linn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cam Rakaczewski and Avery Horst did most of the damage at the plate: Rakaczewski went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Horst went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Davidson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Greencastle-Antrim was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elizabethtown only posted a batting average of .200.

Greencastle-Antrim's victory bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Elizabethtown, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-11 record.

Greencastle-Antrim didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against Manheim Central on the 18th. Elizabethtown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
