Lewis Central fell victim to Missouri Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Big Reds by a score of 1-0. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Lewis Central's defeat dropped their record down to 28-9. As for Missouri Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 28-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewis Central will venture away from home to face off against Bishop Heelan Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Titans 3.6, the Crusaders 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Missouri Valley, they will challenge Glenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
