Softball Recap: Butner Takes a Loss

Butner came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 28-13 to the Sasakwa Vikings. On the bright side, the 13- run performance marked the Eagles' highest-scoring match to date.

Butner's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sasakwa, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Butner will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Okemah at 5:30 p.m. on September 4. As for Sasakwa, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-6 loss against Olive on the 22nd.
