North Bend Central came out on top against Fairbury on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run first inning. The Tigers blew past the Jeffs 12-0. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by ten runs or more this season.

Pyper Daugherty was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Kylee Krieger was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

North Bend Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .520 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

The victory got North Bend Central back to even at 3-3. As for Fairbury, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

North Bend Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-4 defeat against Yutan-Mead on the 26th. As for Fairbury, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-8 win against Centennial on the 25th.
