Basketball Recap: Great Oak's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Great Oak won the last time they faced Temecula Valley, and Brianna Thomas did her part to make sure it happened again. The Great Oak Wolfpack simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Temecula Valley Golden Bears 51-22 thanks in part to Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (three).

Cienna Pierce was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

The win made it two in a row for Great Oak and bumps their season record up to 6-12. As for Temecula Valley, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.

Great Oak didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-19 victory against Murrieta Mesa on the 21st. Temecula Valley has also already played their next contest (against Murrieta Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
