Softball Recap: Chouteau-Mazie Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Chouteau-Mazie never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on the Okmulgee Bulldogs with a sharp 11-0 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won 14 contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Peyton Blake and Shaelea Willerton did most of the damage at the plate: Blake got on base in both of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Willerton went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinzly Ellison, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Chouteau-Mazie pushed their record up to 19-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Okmulgee, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-22.

Chouteau-Mazie wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-1 win against Oaks-Mission on the 13th. As for Okmulgee, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-1 defeat against Morris on the 15th.
