Volleyball Recap: Harmony Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Macarena Quezada and Yareliz Castro + How To Watch

Harmony came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lake Nona Lions, falling 3-0. The Longhorns have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-21, 25-11.

Harmony's loss came despite strong showings from Yareliz Castro and Macarena Quezada. Castro had seven digs and two assists, while Quezada had five digs and one assist.

Lake Nona's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Olivia Tome led the charge by getting 14 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Tome has posted over her last 12 matches. Gianna Ojeda also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Harmony's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Lake Nona, their record is now 5-8.

Harmony has already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against East River on the 11th. As for Lake Nona, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against St. Cloud on the 10th.
