Baseball Game Preview: Hephzibah Rebels vs. Howard Huskies

The Hephzibah Rebels will head out to square off against the Howard Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, everything went Hephzibah's way against Howard as Hephzibah made off with a 15-5 win. Considering the Rebels have won five contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Fredrich Frye made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance gave him a new career-low in hits. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Trenton Dunn was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Christopher Kohn, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-5.

The victory made it two in a row for Hephzibah and bumps their season record up to 6-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Howard, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
