Volleyball Recap: Riverside Chargers vs. Newman Grove/St. Edward Panthers
Riverside came tearing into Monday's match with four straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Newman Grove/St. Edward Panthers , sneaking past 2-1. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.
Riverside had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-11, 25-21.
Riverside can attribute much of their success to Addy Seamann, who had seven digs and four aces. Seamann is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in the last five games she's played dating back to last season.
Riverside's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7. As for Newman Grove/St. Edward, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.
