Baseball Recap: Shaw Comes Up Short

If Shaw was feeling good fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Kendrick on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders came up short against the LaGrange Grangers on Wednesday, falling 13-6. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Grangers from their previous meeting back in February of 2025.

Dylan Lockhart made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Copeland, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

Shaw's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for LaGrange, their win bumped their record up to 14-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shaw will welcome Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for LaGrange, they will host Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Grangers surely won't give up without a fight.
