Soccer Recap: Valhalla Comes Up Short

Valhalla was the 4-2 winner over University City when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Centurions who were credited with the victory on Saturday. The University City Centurions got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Valhalla Norsemen's two.

Valhalla's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-2. As for University City, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1-3.

Valhalla and University City will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Norsemen see the pitch they'll take on Mission Bay at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2026. As for University City, their break will end when they face La Jolla Country Day at 5:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
