Football Recap: Frederick Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Frederick dropped to 6-3 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They were outmatched by the Monarch Coyotes and fell 49-14. The Golden Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-7.

Although Frederick took the loss, they still got scores from Aerik Ross and Garrett Cahoon.

As for Monarch, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2. Considering they have won six contests by more than 19 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Monarch's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nico Rizzello, who threw for 125 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 passes, and also rushed for 36 yards and one TD. The Coyotes' leading receiver Tyler Tharp was Rizzello's top target yet again, picking up 101 receiving yards and two scores.

Frederick wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 40-6 win against Greeley West on the 30th. As for Monarch, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-7 victory against Silver Creek on the 31st.
