Preview: Waterford Wildcats vs. Denair Coyotes
Waterford is 10-0 against Denair since November of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Waterford Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Denair Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.
Waterford can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They pulled ahead with a 25-24 photo finish over Gustine.
Meanwhile, Denair lost to Mariposa County on the road by a decisive 36-22 margin on Thursday.
Despite the loss, Denair saw an underclassman step up: Piper Northcutt scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cloey Ellerd, who scored five points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Waterford's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Denair, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-12.
Waterford strolled past Denair when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 46-31. Will Waterford repeat their success, or does Denair have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
