Recap: Fullerton Indians vs. Sunny Hills Lancers
It was a good run, but the Fullerton Indians unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 51-17 loss at the hands of Sunny Hills. Having soared to a lofty 56 points in the game before, Fullerton couldn't push the score so high this time.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sunny Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Erin Choi, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and three steals. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Do, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Fullerton's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Sunny Hills, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-8.
Fullerton will challenge Sonora at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sunny Hills, they will be playing at home against La Habra at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (La Habra is ranked 183rd, while Sunny Hills is ranked 204th).
