Basketball Recap: Minarets Falls Despite Big Games from Savannah Garabedian and Addysen Nielsen

Minarets lost against Fresno Christian back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Minarets Mustangs lost 46-20 to the Fresno Christian Eagles. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Minarets' loss came despite strong showings from Addysen Nielsen and Savannah Garabedian. Nielsen posted six points, while Garabedian put up eight points. That was a full 40% of Minarets' points, marking the seventh time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Minarets' loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Fresno Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-13.

Minarets has already played their next match, a 42-26 defeat against Yosemite on the 11th. As for Fresno Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-22 victory against Riverdale on the 11th.
