With a playoff win on the line, St. Thomas Academy rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the Mayo Spartans by a score of 21-14. The Cadets' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Dominic Baez produced another solid effort rushing for 126 yards and a pair of TDs. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 126 rushing yards.

St. Thomas Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Grant Young and Manny Sims.

St. Thomas Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Mayo, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Coming up, St. Thomas Academy will take on Chanhassen on Thursday. The Storm's defense has only allowed 14.6 points per game this season, so the Cadets' offense will have their work cut out for them. Mayo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
