Volleyball Recap: Aztec Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Aztec was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Miyamura Patriots, falling 3-0. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-18.

Riley Yoakum paced Aztec's offense, picking up nine kills. Yoakum got some help from Jazzlyn Gomez and her nine assists.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miyamura to victory, but perhaps none more so than Giada Wagner, who had 20 assists and three digs.

Aztec's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Miyamura, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-8.

Aztec has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Bloomfield on the 9th. As for Miyamura, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Gallup on the 9th.
