Soccer Recap: Providence Christian Academy Beats Elbert County for Their Fourth Straight Victory

While Providence Christian Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on the Elbert County Blue Devils with a sharp 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The Storm might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by nine goals or more this season.

The win (which was Providence Christian Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four matchups. As for Elbert County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Providence Christian Academy is taking a road trip to challenge Oglethorpe County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give Oglethorpe County their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Elbert County, they will challenge Rabun County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Elbert County has given up an average of 5.2 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
