Basketball Game Preview: Carmel Christian Cougars vs. Asheville Christian Academy Lions

The Carmel Christian Cougars will square off against the Asheville Christian Academy Lions at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Carmel Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 183 points over their last three matchups.

On Thursday, Carmel Christian didn't have too much trouble with Wesleyan Christian Academy as they won 71-54. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Asheville Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Tri-Cities Christian on Tuesday and fell 59-57. The loss put an end to the Lions' undefeated start to the season.

Carmel Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Asheville Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Carmel Christian beat Asheville Christian Academy 61-49 when the teams last played back in November of 2020. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
