Baseball Game Preview: Woodward Academy War Eagles vs. Dunwoody Wildcats

For the second straight game, Woodward Academy will face off against Dunwoody. Woodward Academy will welcome Dunwoody at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Woodward Academy has won six straight at home, while Dunwoody won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change.

Woodward Academy is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Dunwoody just ended the team's 12-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 6-5.

Harrison Lord was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Keeler Edwards was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Dunwoody's win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Woodward Academy, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 12-1 and their overall record down to 14-2.
