Baseball Recap: Lakeside Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Lakeside hadn't done well against Evans recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Knights by a score of 8-3. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Robbie Jarman looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aiden Parker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Scherer, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

The victory was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 4-9. As for Evans, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-3 record this season.

Lakeside will have a chance to go back-to-back against Evans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
