Basketball Recap: Garnet Valley Makes It 28 in a Row at Home

Garnet Valley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They enjoyed a cozy 54-38 victory over the Altoona Mountain Lions on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

Garnet Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Haylie Adamski, who went 7-for-14 on her way to 19 points in addition to six boards and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Adamski has scored at least a third of Garnet Valley's points. Addison Adamski was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Garnet Valley pushed their record up to 28-2 with the win, which was their 28th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points over those games. As for Altoona, their defeat ended a 19-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 24-3.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Garnet Valley Jaguars take on Cardinal O'Hara Lions on Friday. Cardinal O'Hara will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Garnet Valley surely won't give up without a fight. Altoona does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
