Football Game Preview: Chaparral Lobos vs. Portales Rams + Official Tickets

The Chaparral Lobos will take on the Portales Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Chaparral's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against St. Pius X last Saturday. They were dealt a 50-0 defeat at the hands of the Sartans. The Lobos have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Meanwhile, Portales came up short against Albuquerque Academy on Friday and fell 30-20.

Chaparral will need to focus on slowing down Kingston Lee, one of several Portales players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 144 yards and a pair of TDs. Ace Saiz got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Portales, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Chaparral was able to grind out a solid victory over Portales in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, winning 10-0. Will the Lobos repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
