Baseball Game Preview: Walker Wolverines vs. Tampa Prep Terrapins

The Walker Wolverines are taking a road trip to square off against the Tampa Prep Terrapins at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Walker's hittershaven't had much luck over their past three games, but Thursday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Walker came up into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Kell by a score of 4-2 on Saturday.

Walker got a good showing from Jackson Ramon, who didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit over four innings pitched. That's the fewest hits Ramon has allowed since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Walker saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis Tatom, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Tatom a new career-high. Grant Addison also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Tampa Prep came up short against Clearwater on Tuesday and fell 8-4. The Terrapins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Will Futch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Tampa Prep now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Walker, their record now sits at 1-3.
