Basketball Recap: Destiny Christian Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Dorothy Odufuwa and Caitlin Mcdaniel

Destiny Christian Academy was the 57-36 winner over Natomas when they last played one another back in February of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Destiny Christian Academy Lions lost to the Natomas Nighthawks on the road by a 42-27 margin on Tuesday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Destiny Christian Academy had strong showings from Caitlin McDaniel, who posted eight points and 12 rebounds, and Dorothy Odufuwa, who put up three points and six boards. McDaniel has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times she's played.

Destiny Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Natomas, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Destiny Christian Academy has already played their next matchup (against Dixon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Natomas will be playing at home against Woodland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Natomas' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Woodland has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
