Softball Recap: McIntosh Chiefs vs. Newnan Cougars
McIntosh lost to Newnan back in August, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Chiefs walked away with a 15-11 win over the Cougars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chiefs.

McIntosh got a massive performance out of Grace Aerstin, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. What's more, Aerstin posted two hits, the most she's had since back in October of 2024. Braley Roop was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
McIntosh kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
McIntosh's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Newnan, they dropped their record down to 10-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McIntosh will take on Lovejoy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newnan, they will challenge Northgate at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season.
