Softball Recap: Plattsmouth Takes a Loss

Plattsmouth fell victim to Douglas County West and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcon. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Falcon: they've now lost five in a row.

Plattsmouth saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Margaret Vick, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Plattsmouth's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Douglas County West, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Plattsmouth wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against Wayne on the 20th. As for Douglas County West, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-4 loss against Freeman on the 20th.
