Soccer Game Preview: San Marcos vs. Dos Pueblos

The San Marcos Royals will head out to square off against the Dos Pueblos Chargers at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. San Marcos' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Monday, San Marcos and Ventura finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Dos Pueblos' offense. They fell just short of Rio Mesa by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Chargers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Spartans are ranked 703rd).

San Marcos' draw gives them a new season record of 8-4-4. As for Dos Pueblos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4-7.
