Spanish Fork has gone 8-2 against Springville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Dons will head out on the road to challenge the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Spanish Fork fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Maple Mountain last Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 3-2. Spanish Fork fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Maple Mountain since last Tuesday.

Ben Clayson and Alan Ledesma scored both of Spanish Fork's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Springville was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 6-1 to Wasatch. While losing is never fun, Springville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Wasatch are ranked 12th).

Springville's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Spanish Fork, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Spanish Fork beat Springville 3-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
