The biggest upset of the week belonged to Maple Lake, who took down 53rd ranked Maple Lake, 14-7. Austin Kollman ran for 214 yards in the win.
Holdingford extended the longest winning streak in Central Minnesota this week by beating Kimball, 14-13. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Huskers.
Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brian Goodwin threw for 103 yards and Patrick Rooney had 76 yards receiving. James Kuefler helped Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa's passing attack out by catching one ball for 12 yards.
Kuefler made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Jaguars beat the Irish. The junior pulled down one interception.
Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Jaguars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Goodwin has thrown for 794 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Kuefler has 20 catches for 320 yards. Kollman leads the league in rushing with 677 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Maple Lake takes on Holdingford. As it stands, Tim Knudsen's team is in second, while Mark Messman's team is in third.
The Huskers and the Cubs played the most hotly contested game in Central Minnesota this week, with the Huskers eventually emerging with a 14-13 victory.
