Football Recap: Beloit Takes a Loss

If Beloit was riding high fresh off their 52-8 takedown of Lyons last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans and the Concordia Panthers were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Trojans suffered a 27-26 defeat. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Beloit's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joel Rexroat, who rushed for 111 yards on only 12 carries.

Concordia's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayden Krier, who picked up 76 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Braytin Hake handled things on the ground, rushing for 90 yards.

Beloit's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Concordia, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beloit will square off against Southeast of Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Concordia, they will take on Abilene at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
