Basketball Game Preview: Ganesha Giants vs. Edgewood Lions

The Ganesha Giants will venture away from home to challenge the Edgewood Lions at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Ganesha is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging a 51-20 victory over Pomona. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Edgewood came tearing into Thursday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Warriors 45-10. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Edgewood pushed their record up to 15-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.0 points per game. As for Ganesha, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Ganesha took a serious blow against Edgewood when the teams last played back in January, falling 57-17. Can Ganesha avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
