Junior started the season with career-high 14 strikeouts and hasn't let up.

The start of the 2022 season was no fluke for Bryan Rivera Santiago. The Leto (Tampa) junior right-hander opened with a three-hit, 14-strikeout gem and he hasn't let up since while leading Florida in strikeouts with 88 in 56 innings.

Santiago has had four more games with at least 10 strikeouts, including a pair of 13 K games against Brandon and Hillsborough. The 6-foot-1 standout sports an 8-1 record with a 1.00 ERA for the 15-6 Falcons. Santiago is also second on the squad with a .345 batting average with 19 hits and 16 RBI.

Heading into the week, the only other pitcher with at least 80 strikeouts was Wesley Chapel senior Zack Showalter at 81.
