Soccer Recap: Collins Hill's Run of Five Straight Victories Now Over

Collins Hill was the 4-1 winner over Archer when they last played one another back in April of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Collins Hill Eagles fell just short of the Archer Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Eagles couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Damian Sanchez, who's now up to two this season.

The defeat snapped Collins Hill's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-3 record. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five matchups. As for Archer, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Collins Hill duke it out with Dacula at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dacula will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Collins Hill surely won't give up without a fight. As for Archer, they will face off against South Gwinnett at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Archer's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so South Gwinnett's offense will have their work cut out for them.
