Soccer Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss

Monroe's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 3-1 to the Westover Patriots. The Golden Tornadoes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Monroe's goal came courtesy of Richard Morris, who's now up to three this season.

Monroe dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Westover, they moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe will take on Peach County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Peach County will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Monroe surely won't give up without a fight. As for Westover, they will challenge Dougherty at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westover is facing Dougherty at the right time seeing as Dougherty is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
