Softball Recap: Piedmont Academy Takes a Loss

Piedmont Academy fell victim to Bethlehem Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 9-0 to the Knights. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2020.

Piedmont Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sarah Ellen Stroud, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Piedmont Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Piedmont Academy will head out on the road to square off against Strong Rock Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Loganville Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
