Baseball Recap: River Ridge Comes Up Short

The River Ridge Knights didn't have quite enough to beat the Newton Rams on Thursday and fell 2-1.

River Ridge has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Newton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

River Ridge will face off against Woodstock at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newton, they will square off against Dutchtown at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
