New Lexington strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Crooksville Ceramics 45-6. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-0.

New Lexington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paul Stenson, who rushed for 81 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Stenson is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Tyson Spicer also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: New Lexington was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 251 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 251 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.
