Baseball Recap: Baldwin Comes Up Short

After soaring to 16 runs the game before, Baldwin was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against the West Laurens Raiders, falling 11-1. If the Braves were looking for revenge after losing 18-0 to the Raiders when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Baldwin has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for West Laurens, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.

Coming up, West Laurens will square off against Veterans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Baldwin will be paying especially close attention to the Raiders' game: after the Raiders faces off against the Warhawks, they'll take on Baldwin again at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
