Softball Recap: Washington's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Washington). They were the clear victors by a 24-18 margin over the Coretta Scott King YWLA Soaring Eagle on Tuesday. Considering the Bulldogs have won three matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Maukayla Bell was incredible, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with four stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Londyn Scott was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double.

Washington's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7. As for Coretta Scott King YWLA, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Washington will venture away from home to face off against Drew Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Coretta Scott King YWLA, they will challenge Lovett at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
