Football Game Preview: St. Joseph Christian Lions vs. South Holt Knights

After each having a week off, the St. Joseph Christian Lions and the South Holt Knights will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on November 7. St. Joseph Christian has given up an average of 48.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. Joseph Christian will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up eight points two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Princeton on Friday. The Lions managed a 42-38 win over the Tigers. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, South Holt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] 56-6. Having soared to a lofty 44 points in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

South Holt's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for St. Joseph Christian, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5.
