Baseball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Thomas Jefferson Academy's Winning Streak

If Thomas Jefferson Academy was feeling good fresh off their 13-0 takedown of Twiggs Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Thomas Jefferson Academy took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westminster Christian Academy Lions on Thursday. The Jaguars were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Lions' pitchers proved too tough.

Gavin Bailey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Westminster Christian Academy will head out to face Edmund Burke Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Thomas Jefferson Academy will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
