Softball Recap: Choctaw Victorious

Choctaw had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Perry on Friday. The Yellowjackets never let the Maroons get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. Considering the Yellowjackets have won three contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Choctaw's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Perry, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Choctaw will square off against Norman North at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Perry, they have already played their next game, an 11-1 loss against Southmoore on the 15th.
