Softball Recap: Cheyenne/Reydon Wins Going Away Against Laverne

Cheyenne/Reydon had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Laverne on Tuesday. The Bears were the clear victors by an 18-9 margin over the Tigers. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 5-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kynlee Goad was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Goad was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Cheyenne/Reydon got a massive performance out of Calli Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Kimbo Denney, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI and one double.

Cheyenne/Reydon's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Laverne, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Cheyenne/Reydon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-0 win against Olustee on the 14th. As for Laverne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-2 defeat against Mooreland on the 14th.
