Baseball Recap: Poland Knights vs. York Wildcats

Poland took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against York, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights won by a run and slipped past the Wildcats 8-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Landon Cooper made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Alex Mains was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Stanford, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
