Softball Recap: Waukon Takes a Loss

Waukon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings, falling 11-1. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 6-3 to the Vikings when the teams met back in June of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Waukon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Edgewood-Colesburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.

Waukon has already played their next contest (against Monticello), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Edgewood-Colesburg, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Independence on the 21st.
