Football Recap: Samson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Houston County last Friday, Samson came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Geneva County Bulldogs on Friday, falling 40-14. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Samson dropped their record down to 4-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Geneva County, they moved to 3-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Samson will face off against Ariton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Geneva County, they will challenge Houston County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.13 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
