Softball Recap: Grand Island Beats Fremont for Their Third Straight Victory

Grand Island proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by six) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Fremont Tigers 4-3. Winning may never get old, but the Islanders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Karstyn Zuelow, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one double.

Grand Island's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Fremont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season.

Grand Island has already played their next game, an 8-2 loss against Kearney on the 25th. As for Fremont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-0 defeat against Pius X on the 25th.
