Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Jackson County's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Jackson County won the last time they faced Winder-Barrow and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers blew past the Bulldoggs 9-1. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Adalyn Mitchell spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emery Schiffmann, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September of 2024. Miabella Lee also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Jackson County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Winder-Barrow, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
